Berkeley Street United Free Church, Glasgow, originated with a disjunction of members from East Campbell Street Free Church in 1856. The building, at 34 Berkeley Street, was opened in the same year. The congregation became Berkeley Street United Presbyterian (later United Free) Church, and terminated in 1920 on uniting with Bath Street United Free as Blythswood United Free.The Kirk Sessions of presbyterian churches were modelled on those of the established church. |
