Bath Street United Free Church, Glasgow, originated with a congregation formed under the ministry of a deposed minister of Cathedral Square Church. In 1839 a church was built in Parliamentary Road, later Parliamentary Road United Presbyterian Church. They later moved to Bath Street, where their church, at the corner of Holland Street, was dedicated in 1887. The United Free congregation was terminated in 1920 on uniting with Berkeley Street United Free as Blythswood United Free. The Kirk Sessions of presbyterian churches were modelled on those of the established church. |
