Rothesay West Free Church began with a chapel of ease under Rothesay, whose minister led almost the whole of his congregation into the Free Church at the Disruption. A new church was erected in 1846. It passed successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland, and united with Rothesay Trinity in 1979 under that name. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery of Dunoon and the synod of Argyll. |
