Fearn Free Church was formed at the Disruption by elders of the parish church. A minister was settled in 1843 and a church built in the following year (replaced 1897). It passed to the United Free Church, but the church and manse were allocated to the Free Church and replacements were erected in 1909. The Church of Scotland charge, Fearn Central, was in the presbytery of Tain and the synod of Ross, Sutherland and Caithness. It united with Fearn Abbey as Fearn in 1962. |
