Albert Drive Church, Glasgow, originated in an Auld Licht Burgher congregation which briefly joined the Church of Scotland in 1839 and then came out at the Disruption as Stockwell Free Church. They later removed to Albert Drive (then Albert Road), Pollokshields (1887), and after 1900 were known as Pollokshields Albert Road United Free Church. The congregation terminated in 1965 on uniting with Pollokshields East as Pollokshields Kenmure. As a Church of Scotland charge it was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Clydesdale. |
