Inveravon Free Church was formed at the Disruption, but the landed proprietors resisted all attempts to obtain a permanent site and the congregation met for a time in the open air. A church and manse were eventually built in 1854. The congregation passed to the United Free Church, but from 1916, when the minister transferred elsewhere, the charge was served by missionaries until the union of 1929 when the United Free Church passed back to the Established Church. From 1929 the Session took the name of Craggan Church of Scotland. A union followed soon afterwards in 1932 with the congregation of Glenlivet; the united charge taking the name of Glenlivet Craggan Church of Scotland. |
