Patna United Free Church, Ayrshire, originated in 1837 with the formation of a congregation which formed part of the United Associate Presbytery of Kilmarnock. This became successively Patna United Presbyterian and United Free Church. In 1931 the congregation briefly united with that of the parish church, but separated almost immediately and adhered to the United Free Church (Continuing). As a United Free church it was in the presbytery and synod of Ayr. |
