Innerleithen Free Church was formed at the Disruption and a minister was settled in the charge in 1844. The church dated from the same year. It passed successively to the United Free Church, as Innerleithen St John's, which united with Innerleithen Law as Innerleithen United Free in 1919, and to the Church of Scotland, as Innerleithen Craigside. The Church of Scotland charge, which was in the presbytery of Peebles and synod of Lothian and Tweeddale, united with Innerleithen Old as Innerleithen in 1960. |
