Aberdeen, Shiprow Relief Church arose from a disputed election within an earlier Relief congregation in Belmont Street. The first minister, John Brodie, was ordained in 1780. His ministry lasted successfully until 1798, but his successor found considerable difficulties and resigned in 1806. The congregation then dissolved, to be succeeded by Aberdeen St Paul's. |
