Aberdeen North Free Church began at the Disruption when the minister of the North parish took a large part of his congregation into the Free Church. A church building was erected soon afterwards. It passed successively to the United Free Church, with a new church on the same site, dating from 1905, and to the Church of Scotland. Aberdeen North united in 1968 with Aberdeen King Street as Aberdeen North of St Andrew. A further union took place in 2004 with Aberdeen Greyfriars John Knox to form Aberdeen Queen Street. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery and synod of Aberdeen. |
