Arbroath, Inverbrothock Free Church originated at the Disruption, when the minister of the existing quoad sacra church and most of his congregation adhered to the Free Church and erected their own church building, opened in the same year. The congregation passed successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland, but was dissolved in 1977. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery of Arbroath and the synod of Angus and Mearns. |
