Skirling Free Church was formed at the Disruption, when the minister and most of the congregation adhered to the Free Church. It passed to the United Free Church but was first suppressed in 1910, then linked with Broughton in 1913 and with Ellsridgehill in 1916. It passed to the Church of Scotland as Skirling Hanna Memorial, which united with Skirling as Skirling in 1936. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery of Lanark and the synod of Clydesdale. |
