Kirriemuir South Free Church was formed at the Disruption, when the minister and congregation of the existing South church adhered to the Free Church and acquired their own building in 1844. It passed to the United Free Church, with a new church built on the site of the old in 1903. The Church of Scotland charge, which was in the presbytery of Forfar and the synod of Angus and Mearns, was known as Kirriemuir Livingstone, which united with Kirriemuir South as Kirriemuir St Andrew's in 1961. |
