Pollok Street Church, Glasgow, originated in a public meeting in 1852, which led to the construction of a new church in Pollok Street off Paisley Road, dedicated in 1856 as Pollok Street United Presbyterian Church. It became successively a United Free and Church of Scotland charge and terminated in 1975 on uniting with Plantation as Plantation St Andrew?s. As a Church of Scotland charge it was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Clydesdale. |
