Johnstone Free Church was formed in 1843 and the charge sanctioned in the same year. It passed successively to the United Free Church, as Johnstone Trinity, and to the Church of Scotland. The Church of Scotland charge, which was in the presbytery of Paisley and the synod of Clydesdale, united with Johnstone St Andrew's in 1952 as Johnstone St Andrew's-Trinity. |
