Greenhead East Church, Glasgow, originated with a group from Bridgeton who petitioned the Relief Presbytery in 1801. A church was built in John Street, Bridgeton, in 1806. The congregation was successively Greenhead Relief, Greenhead United Presbyterian and Greenhead United Free Church. It terminated in 1937 on uniting with Greenhead West as Greenhead, and the church was disposed of and subsequently demolished. As a Church of Scotland charge it was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Clydesdale. |
