Aberdeen, Bon-Accord Free Church originated at the Disruption, when the minister and part of the congregation of the existing church adhered to the Free Church and purchased the existing building (later enlarged). It passed to the United Free Church, uniting with Aberdeen Union in 1911 but retaining its own name, and then to the Church of Scotland. Aberdeen Bon-Accord St Paul's was formed by union with Aberdeen St Paul's in 1962. A further union took place in 1976 with Aberdeen Gilcomston St Colm's, to form Denburn Church of Scotland. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery and synod of Aberdeen. |
