Friockheim Free Church began at the Disruption, when the minister and congregation of the existing quoad sacra parish adhered to the Free Church. A new church building was erected in 1844. It passed successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland, and united with Kinnell as Friockheim Kinnell in 1967. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery of Arbroath and the synod of Angus and Mearns. |
