Newhills Free Church was formed as a station in 1843. The church was built near the village of Auchmull and the charge was sanctioned in the following year. It passed successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland. The Church of Scotland charge is in the presbytery of Aberdeen and was, until the abolition of synods in 1993, in the synod of Aberdeen. |
