Ardrishaig Free Church was not sanctioned until 1865, earlier proposals having been ineffectual. The church was opened in 1865. It passed successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland, in the latter case as Ardrishaig North, which united with Ardrishaig-Rhu in 1945 as Ardrishaig. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery of Inveraray and the synod of Argyll. |
