Edinburgh, Braid United Presbyterian Church opened as a station in 1883 and was constituted as a congregation in the same year. The first minister was inducted in 1886 and a new church, replacing a former iron one, was opened in 1887. It passed successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland. Edinburgh Morningside Braid was formed in 1990 by the union of Morningside and Braid. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery of Edinburgh and the synod of Lothian and Tweeddale. |
