Lockerbie (Antiburgher) Associate Congregation began in 1738 with the accession to the Associate Presbytery of a group in Annandale, leading to the ordination of a minister based in Lockerbie in 1744. The congregation passed successively to the United Presbyterian and United Free Churches, in the later case as Lockerbie Trinity, and to the Church of Scotland. Lockerbie Trinity united with Lockerbie Dryfesdale in 1973 as Lockerbie Dryfesdale and Trinity. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery of Annandale and the synod of Dumfries. |
