Dalmellington United Free Church, Ayrshire, originated with members of the Free Church from Carsphairn and Dalmellington at the Disruption. Those from Carsphairn erected a church at Lamloch; a separate church for Dalmellington was erected in 1851. The congregation transferred to the United Free Church at the Union of 1900 and as such was in the presbytery of Ayr and the synod of Dumfries, Galloway and Ayr. In 1929 it transferred to the Church of Scotland as Dalmellington Lamloch. |
