Kilwinning Free Church was established as a station at the Disruption. The charge was sanctioned in 1845 and a church built in 1846 (replaced 1861). It passed successively to the United Free Church, as Kilwinning Mansefield, and the Church of Scotland. The Church of Scotland charge, which was in the presbytery of Ardrossan and in the synod of Ayr until the abolition of synods in 1993, became Kilwinning Mansefield Trinity in 1999. |
