Linlithgow Free Church was formed at the Disruption, with a church opened in 1844 (replaced 1873). It passed successively to the United Free Church, as Linlithgow High, and to the Church of Scotland as Linlithgow St Ninian's, which united with Linlithgow Craigmailen in 1954 as Linlithgow St Ninian's-Craigmailen. The Church of Scotland charge is in the presbytery of West Lothian (formerly Linlithgow and Falkirk) and was in the synod of Lothian and Tweeddale until the abolition of synods in 1993. |
