Cambusnethan Free Church was at first a preaching station, but a church was built in 1851 and the charge sanctioned in 1854. It passed successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland, in the latter case as Wishaw Cambusnethan North. The Church of Scotland charge is in the presbytery of Hamilton and was in the synod of Clydesdale until the abolition of synods in 1993. |
