Alness Free Church began at the Disruption when the minister and a large part of the congregation adhered to the Free Church. A church building was erected in the same year. It passed to the United Free Church and united in 1929 with Alness Church of Scotland as Alness. The United Free charge was in the presbytery of Chanonry and Dingwall and the synod of Ross, Sutherland and Caithness. |
