Edinburgh, Warrender Park Free Church was formed in 1883 under Barclay Free Church and sanctioned in 1886. The congregation worshipped first in Viewpark School, then in an iron church in Warrender Park Road. Whitehouse Loan church was built in 1892. It passed successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland, in the latter case as Warrender, which united with Grange and with West St Giles' in 1972 as Edinburgh Marchmont St Giles'. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery of Edinburgh and the synod of Lothian and Tweeddale. |
