Aberdeen, Causewayend Free Church was formed and the charge sanctioned in 1879. The church building dated from 1882. It passed successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland. The Church of Scotland church, which was in the presbytery and synod of Aberdeen, was destroyed by enemy action in 1943 and rebuilt in 1951. Aberdeen St Stephen's was formed in 1988 by the union of Aberdeen Causewayend and Aberdeen Powis. |
