Lumphanan Free Church was formed at the Disruption, with a church erected in 1844 (replaced 1870). It passed successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland, in the latter case as Lumphanan Stothert Memorial, which united with Lumphanan St Finan's in 1939 as Lumphanan. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery of Deeside and the synod of Aberdeen. |
