Cargill Free Church originated at the Disruption, when the minister and many of his congregation adhered to the Free Church. A church was erected at Wolfhill in St Martin's parish in 1845. It passed successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland, in the latter case as Wolfhill, which united with Cargill in 1932. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery of Perth and the synod of Perth and Stirling. |
