Baillieston United Presbyterian Church originated in 1864 when a congregation was organised and a church opened. A minister was ordained in the following year. The congregation passed successively to the United Free Church, as Baillieston Rhinsdale, and to the Church of Scotland. The Church of Scotland charge, which was in the presbytery of Hamilton and the synod of Clydesdale, united with Baillieston Old as Baillieston St Andrew's in 1966. |
