Edinburgh, Argyle Place United Presbyterian Church was formed in 1877 on a petition to Edinburgh United Presbyterian Presbytery the previous year. A minister was inducted in 1878 and a church opened in 1880. It passed successively to the United Free Church, as Argyle Place, and to the Church of Scotland, and united with St Catherine's in Grange in 1968 as Edinburgh St Catherine's Argyle. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery of Edinburgh and the synod of Lothian and Tweeddale. |
