Auchterarder Free Church, Presbytery of Auchterarder, was established at the Disruption in 1843. Services were held in a tent in a field initially. The church was opened in 1844 and the manse erected in 1850. In 1900 following the union of the Free Church with the United Presbyterian Church the charge became Auchterarder St Andrew's United Free Church. In 1929 the United Free Church joined the Church of Scotland. In 1954 Auchterarder St Andrew's Church of Scotland united with Auchterarder West as Auchterarder St Andrew's and West Church of Scotland. In 1983 Auchterarder Parish Church was formed by the union of Auchterarder St Andrew's and West and Auchterarder Barony Church. |
