Edinburgh: Stockbridge Free Church originated as a mission of Edinburgh: St Andrew's Free Church in 1865. The charge was sanctioned and a church built in 1868. In 1900 following the union of the Free Church with the United Presbyterian Church, the congregation became Edinburgh: Stockbridge United Free Church. In 1929 the United Free Church joined the Church of Scotland and the charge became Edinburgh: Stockbridge Church of Scotland. The congregation was dissolved in 1975. |
