Aberuthven Free Church in the Presbyery of Auchterarder originated as a mission of Auchterarder Free Church in 1848. A church was erected in 1851 and the charge sanctioned in 1853. A manse was built in 1855. In 1900 following the union of the Free Church with the United Presbyterian Church to form the United Free Church, the congregation became Aberuthven United Free Church. In 1929 the United Free Church joined the Church of Scotland. From 1961-1978 Aberuthven Church of Scotland was linked with Gask Church. In 1978 the charge was linked with Dunning Church. |
