Cambuslang Rosebank Church, Lanarkshire, began with Free Church mission services in 1846, and became Cambuslang Free Church (from 1900 Cambuslang Rosebank United Free). The church building dated from 1856 and was in Main Street, Cambuslang, at Bridge Street. In 1955 the charge united with Cambuslang West and became Cambuslang Rosebank and West. The congregation met in the former Rosebank building with the West building being demolished. Rosebank, itself was demolished in 1966 due to redevelopment of Cambuslang town centre. The congregation then moved to a new building and changed its name to St. Andrew's Church. As a Church of Scotland charge it was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Clydesdale. |
