Duntocher Free Church in the Presbytery of Dumbarton was formed at the Disruption in 1843. A church, hall, vestry and manse were shortly erected. In 1900, following the union of the Free Church with the United Presbyterian Church, the congregation became Duntocher East United Free Church. In 1929 the United Free Church joined the Church of Scotland and the church became Duntocher East Church of Scotland. In 1956, following transportation of the congregation, it was renamed Clydebank Hardgate Church of Scotland, Presbytery of Dumbarton. The church was later renamed Clydebank Faifley Church of Scotland. |
