Paisley: South Free Church was formed at the Disruption in 1843 when the minister, Peter Henderson, and the congregation adhered to the Free Church. The congregation continued to use the parish church until they were deprived of it in 1849. A new church was erected and opened in June 1850. The manse was built in 1872-1873. In 1900 following the union of the Free Church with the United Presbyterian Church the church became Paisley South United Free Church. In 1929 the United Free Church joined the Church of Scotland. This congregation became Paisley St Andrew's Church of Scotland. |
