The minister and nearly all the congregation of Bannockburn Church formed the Free Church after the Disruption of 1843. The established church retained the old building so the Free Church used the Manse until a new church could be built. In 1900 the congregation became part of the United Free Church and in 1929 it became part of the Church of Scotland as Bannockburn Ladywell. It is part of the Presbytery of Stirling (which was for a time the Presbytery of Stirling and Dunblane). |
