St Mark?s West Church, Glasgow, originated at the Disruption, when the congregation of the former chapel of ease of St Mark?s left the Church of Scotland and united with another congregation to become St Mark?s Free (later United Free) Church. They built a church in Argyle Street at Cranston Street (dedicated 1850), which continued in use after the congregation terminated in 1931 on uniting with Lancefield as St Mark?s Lancefield. As a Church of Scotland charge it was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Clydesdale. |
