Lancefield Church, Glasgow, began with United Presbyterian mission work in the Cranstonhill area, leading to the formation of a congregation in 1875, as Cranstonhill United Presbyterian Church (from 1900 Lancefield United Free). An earlier church building in Lancefield Street, provided by the Wellington congregation, was rebuilt in 1887. It was terminated in 1931 on uniting with St Mark?s West as St Mark?s Lancefield. As a Church of Scotland charge it was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Clydesdale. |
