Cumbernauld United Presbyterian Church was set up by 1839 and entered the United Free Church at the union of 1900 when the congregation adopted the name Baird United Free Church. In 1920 this charge united with the Bridgend congregation to form Cumbernauld United Free Church. When the United Free Church united with the Established Church in 1929, the charge became Cumbernauld St Andrew's Church of Scotland. In 1952 St Andrew's united with Cumbernauld St Ninian's to form Cumbernauld Church (later Cumbernauld Old) |
