Cambuslang Trinity Church, Lanarkshire, originated as a United Presbyterian congregation in 1874. A brick church was erected in the following year. In 1899 the present building, in Glasgow Road at Beech Avenue, was dedicated and in the following year Cambuslang United Presbyterian became Cambuslang Trinity United Free Church. In 1929 when the United Free Church passed back to the Established Church, the congregation became Camubuslang Trinity Church of Scotland. Trinity St Paul's Church was formed in 1987 by the union of Cambuslang St Paul's and Trinity churches. As a Church of Scotland charge it was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Clydesdale. |
