Springbank United Free Church, Glasgow, originated in United Presbyterian mission work from Cambridge Street. The church, in New City Road at Well Road, was dedicated in 1867 as Springbank United Presbyterian (Mission) Church, later Springbank United Free. It terminated in 1925 on uniting with Burnbank as Burnbank (II).The Kirk Sessions of presbyterian churches were modelled on those of the established church.
