Kingswells Free Church, which sat within the Free Presbytery of Aberdeen, was established in 1857 and the church of the congregation was erected on a site presented to them by Francis Edmond of Kingswells. The charge was sanctioned in 1861. Following the union of the United Presbyterian Church and the Free Church of Scotland, Kingswells Free Church became Kingswells United Free Church and upon the 1929 union between the United Free Church of Scotland and the Church of Scotland, Kingswells United Free Church became Kingswells Church of Scotland. The congregation of Kingswells Church of Scotland sits under the jurisdiction of the Presbytery of Aberdeen. |
