Gairbraid Church, Glasgow, began in 1855 when a United Presbyterian congregation formed and built Maryhill United Presbyterian Church, at 1517 Maryhill Road, four years later. This became Gairbraid United Free Church and after the union of 1929, a Church of Scotland parish church. As a Church of Scotland charge it is in the presbytery of Glasgow and was formerly in the synod of Clydesdale. |
