The congregation of Ferintosh and Maryburgh United Free Church, which sat within the United Free Presbytery of Dingwall, was established in 1908 by the union of the United Free Church charges of Maryburgh and Urquart. In 1929, following the union of the United Free Church of Scotland and the Church of Scotland, Ferintosh and Maryburgh United Free Church congregation became Ferintosh and Maryburgh Church of Scotland. A number of years thereafter in 1961 Ferintosh and Maryburgh was joined with the Church of Scotland charge of Urquart, under the name of Ferintosh. Ferrintosh Church of Scotland sits within the jurisdiction of the Presbytery of Ross. |
