Peebles St Andrew?s was originally established as a Free Church within the Presbytery of Galashiels. In 1900, it became part of the United Free Church of Scotland, and in 1929 part of the Church of Scotland. In 1918, it was united with Peebles West, retaining the name Peebles St Andrew?s. In 1976, it united with Peebles Leckie Memorial, under the name Peebles St Andrew?s Leckie. From 1929 until 1976, Peebles St Andrew?s (and later Peebles St Andrew?s Leckie) formed part of the Presbytery of Peebles, after which it became part of the Presbytery of Melrose and Peebles. |
