The village of Barrhill, in the parish of Colmonell, Ayrshire, was sanctioned as a separate Free Church charge in 1849, with a church built the following year. It joined the United Free Church in 1900 and the Church of Scotland in 1929, but united with Arnsheen in 1930. As a United Free charge it was in the presbytery of Ayr and the synod of Dumfries, Galloway and Ayr. |
